How To Make Eye Extensions Last
If you are too busy conquering the world to apply three coats of mascara each morning, then eye extensions may be the best invention yet. They instantly provide volume, length, fullness, and based on what you prefer you can go dramatic or keep a natural looking effect. But just as with anything, all good things must come to an end...so here are a few expert suggestions to help keep your eyelash extensions lasting longer between fills.
Step 1: Sleep on Your Back
For the first few days after application it is a good idea to sleep on your back. It allows the glue to dry completely and avoid any kinks.
Step 2: Give Your Lashes Lots of TLC
Treat your lashes with care. Avoid using cotton pads when removing eye makeup as they can not only weaken the extensions but get caught in them. Instead use soft cleansing pads on and around the eye.
Step 3: Oil Them Up
Keeping your extensions dry is not smart. Eyelashes will last longer if you oil them up. Try applying baby oil or olive oil to the end of your extensions with a spoolie brush.
Step 4: Comb Them Daily
To avoid any weird looking or stray lashes, brush them daily with a spoolie wand. To use apply the wand on top of lashes and gently comb to keep lashes looking their best.
Step 5: Avoid Playing with them
Eyelashes shed naturally so extensions can help pull them off. If an extension looks out of place avoid twisting or pulling it, instead let it fall off naturally and use a spoolie wand in the meantime.
